How Claude visits show up

When a user clicks a link in a Claude answer, the visit usually arrives with a referrer from claude.ai. Visits from apps or with privacy settings can lose the referrer and look like direct traffic in classic analytics, which is why Claude traffic is often underreported.

Make sure Claude can read your site
